Hmmm..
Well being home as got its up sides for sure. I’m finally giving my liver a well deserved rest as well as my overdraft! I’m back working in the job I had before I left which considering the financial crisis is pretty jammy of me. I called ahead from Canada to say hello and ask [...]

Travelling at the end of exchnage is a complete must if you have any money left! I decided to go with friend from exchange on a brief trip around the states spending around three days in each city.
We flew from Toronto to Vancouver, got the bus down and visited friends in Seattle and then got the bus [...]

I came on here to summarise the year and it’s so tricky to do. I guess I’ll just do my best to talk about the best bits.
I think the most stressful part of the whole year was the run up to leaving and the first few weeks getting classes sorted and settling in. Organising where [...]

These are mostly copied from posts made by myself and other budding

So i’ve been a tad lax at keeping this updated. Christmas was fantastic! Managed to be in New York City for the lighting of the tree, saw Wicked on Broadway, went to see the daily show be recorded and had a chat with the Big Yin (Billy Connolly). I was there with a fellow Glaswegian [...]

So, three months in and who can believe it? It has been go go go on the coursework front. The academic culture here is very different and takes some adjusting to but it’s worth it for the wealth of amazing opportunities there are as well.
It’d not that the course work is harder there’s just more [...]

What an amazing experience!!
3 Weeks in and already I’m in love with Canada. Today we went to Niagara Falls which was one of the most amazing things i’ve ever seen in my life. There’s always something happening here though. Kingston is a real University town with LOTS of school spirit and oodles of character.
All the [...]

I think I’ve finally managed to get everything sorted. When I first applied people told me it can be a little stressful at first but it gets [...]

It’s been a bit of an eventful week!
I got an e-mail at the start of the week saying that a place had opened up in west campus (Jean Royce) halls and so I happily accepted. I did have a backup plan organised as there are lots of different types of accomodation in Kingston. I’d been [...]
