Hi guys,
After exams it is quite common for the American students to clear out there rooms and go back home, they don’t really stick around.
The international students however don’t want to go back home! Everyone makes plans about a month before exams start where we will travel once it’s all over.
With your student visa you get a 60 day grace period in which your allowed to stay in the United States for 60 days before you leave, you can’t however travel out of the US to say Mexico and then re-enter the US within this grace period so thats why most of the students tend to stay within the US.
New York is definately the most popular destination for international students from Miami, there is so much to do there it’s ridiculous and its only a 2 and a half hour flight away.
There was about 10 of us in New York just partyin it up, some students also decide to travel the whole US solo or go stay with friends they have made over the course of the year at Miami.
There are a lot of options for international students and everyone is in the same boat so regardless what you do it is sure to be a lot of fun.
My advice would be not to rush home and make the most of the time you have in the US
Take it easy
Kian
