its getting close now!

last time i wrote on here i was saying ‘40 days to go’ so thought id write again as its now 20 Days to go!

scary prospect, that in 3 weeks time ill be on my way there, but i cant wait! now ive got the stress of waiting for my exams results out the way and thank god i passed… its now really starting to dawn on me that im going to be away for like 14months!  its gonna be tough at the start i guess, but i always think if u take like 2 weeks at a time thinking its a holiday then it will help you settle in. saying that, soon enough ill be getting work pushed my way so im guessing the holiday idea may not work!

got an email about the orientation week aswell, seems like that will be quite good. its like freshers week here for international students to meet each other and there are night outs orgainsed, and BBQ’s (kinda odd since its their winter ) – hopefully that will go well.

as for orgainising to go away, all i still have to do is get enrolment sorted. its done online and i think it needs to be done before i leave so will get that done in the next two weeks.. had a look on the online prospectus so have the courses i want to do set out. It seems though that since im going in for their 2nd semester, and then doing their 1st semester ( since their uni year runs jan – dec), i may have trouble getting into some of my 2nd semester courses because they are already full, as they chose them in january. not sure yet if this will happen though, maybe they have some sort of provision set out for international students in my situation so i can do the courses i want, we will see – keep you posted on that!
