Well…

It seems everything is all go. I’m currently in the process of applying for my Visa slightly later than i would have liked but unfortunately i’ve been away. I applied for res and sent off my payment using electronic transfer. It was quite expensive, cost me £20 to send the payment which i suppose is alright if it’s a one off but it is the first of a few payments i’ll need to send before i get there and the fees will all add up. May try to find a les expensive way to do it in future.

 

I also need to book flights which is proving to be a pain as the prices have gone up so much while i was away, can’t make up my mind how early to go as i’ll need to sort out alternative accomodation for the time i’m there before term starts, might be good to get there a wee bit early though.

I also found out yesterday that i’ve been awarded a $1000 scholarship from Queen’s which is nice, very glad I bothered to apply and intend to get cracking on the Butex form tomorrow… every little helps.
